The golden chapter of my lifeSide by side, we grew into our years,
from Bangalore to San Francisco,
Chessy made mere cities into a home.
He was not one to rush his sniffari,
the neighborhood’s best boy,always made his rounds,
one wag, one hello at a time.
Little did I know, he was building his village
A village that showed up
When cancer came knocking,
We were held by the love he planted.
Until we meet again,
I’ll carry the legacy he left behind
